I love the Hummer Hi Rise so much that I've bought 2 of them, so I can always have one in the yard while the other is inside for cleaning. During the summer, the sugar water will ferment long before it's all consumed, and that's bad for the birds. To prevent fermenting, we change the nectar every other day, and with an 8-oz feeder like this, we are wasting a lot less than we would with a larger feeder. And the hummers seem to find it very comfortable to drink from.
I purchased 3 of these feeders and wished I had gotten more. They allow you to really see the hummingbird as it feeds. The clean up well and have been very durable. The hooks are wide which allow you to hang on larger objects.
What a delight to watch the hummingbirds come in the morning to my High Rise Hummingbird Feeder. Because of the extreme heat here I change the sugar water every 3 days and try to keep it cold so the birds don’t have to drink heated water. I like it so much I’m going to order a second feeder to place in a different part of the yard. Coles products are very good quality.
