Hummer High Rise Instructions

Assembly Directions: Simply insert the metal hanging rod into the center of the feeder bowl and turn clockwise until tight. Now you’re ready to hang and start enjoying beautiful hummers!

To Fill the Feeder: The red top easily pops off the clear base for adding nectar (hint: push down on the hanging rod while you lift up the red top for a better grip).

Nectar: Hummingbirds enjoy a very basic mixture 4 parts water to 1 part sugar – no need to add food coloring or honey. To make single batches of nectar for the High Rise Hummer, dissolve 1/4 cup of sugar in 1 cup of water. For your convenience a nectar recipe and volume scale can be found on the bottom of the bowl.

Additional Features

Built-in Ant Moat: The open bowl-like area in the middle of the feeder is an attached ant-moat to help keep ants out of your hummingbird feeder. Simply fill it 2/3 of the way with water and any ants sneaking in from the hanging rod will not be able to get to the nectar ports.

Dishwasher Safe: To prevent mold growth it is a good idea to clean your feeder between every fill up. All you need to do is wash it with hot soapy water or throw it in the top rack of the dishwasher. It’s that easy!

Post Mount Option: For your convenience there is a hole in the bottom of the feeder that fits a 5/8” wooden dowel or a ½” pole in case you prefer to mount your Hummer High Rise rather than hang it.

Lifetime Warranty: The Cole’s lifetime guarantee covers the function of the feeder against defect or damage. If at any time this product breaks or will no longer function, we will repair or replace the feeder (at our option) with no cost to you. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, weathering, neglect, abuse, or misuse of the feeder.
